Shannon M. Walsh is an associate in the Hartford office of Gordon & Rees and handles a wide range of litigation matters, including product liability, personal injury and professional liability. She has significant experience defending professionals in the construction industry, including engineers, electricians and general contractors. Ms. Walsh has handled all phases of litigation in defending her clients, and has been effective in attacking claims through successful dispositive motions as well as trial practice where she has obtained complete defense verdict for her client.
Additionally, Ms. Walsh regularly defends employers accused of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation in Connecticut State and Federal courts, and the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Ms. Walsh also has experience litigating trade secret and restrictive covenant matters, and employs a comprehensive understanding of the laws governing these issues to enforce violations of restrictive covenants; to preserve trade secrets; and to recover damages for unauthorized violation of nondisclosure or restrictive covenants.
Ms. Walsh believes that, with the privilege of practicing law, comes the responsibility of representing those who are unable to afford legal aid. Ms. Walsh dedicates time to representing clients pro bono who are facing eviction, foreclosure and collections matters, and she is also an accredited Veterans Administration attorney and assists veterans seeking to obtain disability and/or service connected injury benefits.
