Thomas Tobin is a partner in the Southern California offices of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani. He co-chairs both the Agricultural Chemicals & Pesticides Practice Group as well as the Chemical Exposure subgroup of the Environmental & Toxic Tort practice group. He is also the Chair of the Food & Beverage practice group and a member of Commercial Litigation group.

His practice focuses on litigation involving agricultural technologies, chemical exposure litigation, products liability, environmental litigation, and business litigation. Mr. Tobin represents a variety of clients against claims of personal injury as well as property and business damage from alleged exposure to pesticides, herbicides, chemicals (including benzene, silica, diacetyl, carbon monoxide, and many others), toxic waste, and other substances. He also defends clients in litigation involving federal and state environmental statutes. He defends agricultural business clients in commercial litigation matters involving seed genetics, crop loss, fertilizers, pesticide and herbicide drift, and matters relating to all aspects of farming. Through his over twenty years of experience defending agrichemical and seed manufacturers, Mr. Tobin has developed a portfolio of knowledge regarding all manner of agronomic and agrichemical issues as well as a network of consultants across the United States in a number of disciplines.

Mr. Tobin’s environmental background includes a two-year internship with the Environmental Law Division of the United States Army Legal Services Agency where he provided consultation to the Army on a wide array of environmental issues including the Clean Air Act, RCRA, CERCLA, and the Toxic Substances Control Act.
