Wilson Lau is an associate with the Construction practice group in the San Francisco office of Gordon & Rees. His practice focuses on construction litigation in the defense of landowners, developers, and general contractors in a variety of construction-related personal injury matters. He has experience in all facets of alternative dispute resolutions, arbitration, and litigation.
Before his tenure at Gordon & Rees, Mr. Lau served as in-house counsel for a major international insurance company. As in-house counsel, Mr. Lau defended business owners, home owners, and private individuals against various civil litigation matters including premises liability claims and negligence claims. In addition, Mr. Lau represented employers in worker’s compensation matters.
While in law school, Mr. Lau externed for the Honorable Garrett L. Wong at the San Francisco Superior Court, the Administrative Judges Division of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Legal Department of the U.S. Postal Service, the Workers Compensation Section of the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, and the Licensing Section of the California Attorney General’s Office. As a student, Mr. Lau was also the Executive Editor of the Intellectual Law Bulletin, a senior staff editor of the University of San Francisco Law Review, as well as a member of the McAuliffe Honor Society.
