The Recorder, an ALM publication, has named Gordon & Rees to its 2012 list of “Top Employment Law Firms.” The editors reviewed nominations and conducted interviews with leading practitioners, then selected 10 defense and 10 plaintiff firms for inclusion on the list, published Nov. 19.
The newspaper recognized the defense-side trial skills of Gordon & Rees’s 23-lawyer Northern California Employment Law Practice Group, including San Francisco partners Mike Lucey, Michael Bruno, Alyson Cabrera, Marcie Isom, and Michael Laurenson. Specifically, The Recorder noted that Bruno won his last 10 jury trials and the firm just won a discrimination suit in which the plaintiff had sought more than $2 million in damages.
Gordon & Rees, which has more than 170 employment attorneys nationally, also appeared on The Recorder’s inaugural 2011 “Top Employment Law Firms” list.
