Gordon & Rees San Diego Partner Linda Mullany to Speak at Long Term Care Regulatory Boot Camp

On July 23, Gordon & Rees San Diego partner Linda Mullany will speak at the American Conference Institute’s Second National Long Term Care Regulatory Boot Camp. Mullany will present on the topic “Overview of State and Federal Elder Abuse Statutes” from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. at the Hotel Monaco in Chicago.

Mullany and Andrew Graham, a partner in Atlanta’s Hall, Booth, Smith & Slover, will discuss the Elder Care Justice Act, state elder care statutes, best practices for compliance, statutory violations, civil regulations and criminal statutes, and defense strategy.

Mullany’s practice is devoted to advising and representing health care clients in corporate compliance matters, including billing and overpayment issues, HIPAA, HITECH, Stark and Anti-Kickback rules; regulatory compliance; litigation; employment; and business formation and transaction. She has successfully defended health care providers through trial in elder abuse, malpractice, wrongful death, unfair business practices, breach of contract, fraud and other business claims, and provides consultation and representation on regulatory compliance issues and citation appeals, development of risk avoidance policies and procedures, and general business advisement and litigation.

The Long Term Care Regulatory Boot Camp has been designed to give litigators as well regulatory counsel a strong working knowledge of core long term care regulatory competencies.
