Gordon & Rees’s John Palmeri Discusses Diversity in Q&A Published in the Docket

The Docket, a publication of the Denver Bar Association, profiled John M. Palmeri, co-managing partner of Gordon & Rees’s Denver office, in its October 2013 issue.

DBA president Daniel R. McCune conducted the interview, which ran in the monthly president’s column. Palmeri discussed Gordon & Rees’s commitment to diversity in Denver and firmwide, leadership positions held by diverse attorneys at the firm, and developing and maintaining a strong diversity program.

Speaking about the importance of diversity, Palmeri said, “It’s a reflection of the community. It provides different perspectives. From a problem-solving view, I think you have a broader discussion. I think any time you can broaden that discussion and get points of view from different people and different . . . backgrounds, and walks of life . . . it makes for a more robust conversation.”

Gordon & Rees is a past recipient of the "Diversity Leadership Award" from the Diversity in the Legal Profession Committee of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations. The award recognizes a Colorado law firm or corporate legal department that is a leader in diversity based on measurable results attracting, welcoming, retaining and promoting diverse attorneys.
