At Korean American Bar Association Banquet Sponsored by Gordon & Rees, Chicago Associate Ji Suh Sworn in as Board Member

On October 25, 2014, Gordon & Rees was a sponsor of the 21st anniversary banquet of the Korean American Bar Association of Chicago (KABA). At the event, held at the Union League Club, Gordon & Rees Chicago associate Ji Suh was sworn in for her incoming position on KABA’s Board of Directors for the 2014-2016 term.

The banquet drew more than 150 guests from Illinois’ legal, business and nonprofit communities. Special guests included U.S. Sen. Richard (Dick) Durbin and keynote speaker C.S. Lee, an Asian-American actor and director best known for his role on the Showtime series “Dexter.” Justice Thomas L. Kilbride of the Illinois Supreme Court swore in KABA’s incoming officers and board.

KABA’s incoming president Dennis C. Lee announced that the incoming leadership intends to build on KABA’s successes, which reach the Korean-American community and beyond in Chicago. KABA emphasized that such successes would not be possible without committed and engaged sponsors such as Gordon & Rees.

Suh represents domestic and international insurers in coverage matters, with an emphasis on financial institution bonds. She earned her B.A., cum laude, from Columbia University and her J.D. from the University of Michigan.

Founded in 1993, KABA consists of more than 400 member attorneys in various legal sectors in Chicago.
