Regen O’Malley Re-Elected as Chair of Connecticut Bar Association Insurance Law Section

Gordon & Rees Hartford of counsel Regen O’Malley has been re-elected as chair of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Insurance Law Section.

The Insurance Law Section was created to meet the professional needs of CBA members who practice in all areas of insurance law. The section brings together practitioners from a variety of disciplines including litigators (representing insurers and policyholders), insurance regulatory attorneys, and in-house counsel. The section serves as a forum in which practitioners can exchange information on topics related to insurance law including, but not limited to, life insurance, insurance coverage, property and casualty insurance, health and disability insurance, and insurance regulation.

O'Malley concentrates her practice on the defense of insurers against contractual and extra-contractual claims. She also counsels insurers regarding complex coverage issues and represents insurers in defending and prosecuting declaratory judgment actions in coverage disputes. Her experience includes commercial general liability, professional liability, directors and officers, errors and omissions, umbrella/excess, business property, liquor liability, homeowners, and automobile insurance policies.
