Gordon & Rees Partner and former Chief Judge of Florida's 3rd Distirct Court of Appeals, David M. Gersten, will teach a six-week online course on "Judicial Ethics" beginning on Monday, May 16. The course is offered through the National Judicial College and focuses on proper and improper court-related behavior, communication between lawyers and litigators, and interactions with pro se/unrepresented litigants.
A member of the the National Judicial College's faculty, Gersten, will teach course participants how inherent bias may impact court preceedings and how to mitigate those effects in the courtroom, and how to deal with imigrant or court participants from different cultural values.
