On May 11, Gordon & Rees Chicago office hosted a networking breakfast for members of the South Asian Bar Association (SABA) of Chicago. Gordon & Rees partner and past-president of SABA of Chicago Avanti Bakane coordinated the event that drew more than 30 attorneys from diverse backgrounds and practice areas.
Several Chicago Gordon & Rees attorneys attended. Partner Todd Murphy welcomed guests to the event and briefly discussed the firm’s commitment to diversity within the workplace. Attendees included a judicial candidate, several board members of Chicago bar associations, two prosecutors from New Delhi, India, as well as solo practioners and in-house counsel, all with diverse practices ranging from intellectual property, patent litigation to government work. The event offered a platform to connect and learn about each attendee as well as SABA's efforts in the legal community.
