Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Continues National Expansion with Salt Lake City Office

Gordon & Rees continues its nationwide expansion with the opening of its Salt Lake City, Utah office. The entrance into the Utah market is part of the firm's long-term plan to open offices in strategic locations that best serve its clients’ needs. Partner Mark Nickel will serve as managing partner of the Salt Lake City office.

Utah is currently the nation’s fastest growing state, it has a vibrant technology community and was recently ranked by CNBC as the top state for business. “As a national firm with more than 700 lawyers in offices throughout the United States, Gordon & Rees is positioned to expand its services to clients doing business in Utah or looking to expand into Utah,” Nickel stated.  Firmwide managing partner Dion Cominos added, "the firm is looking to further bolster its presence in Utah and is in active discussions with prospective lateral partners in that location."

Mark Nickel’s practice focuses on general and complex commercial litigation, construction litigation, business tort litigation, professional negligence and other business related litigation including securities fraud, corporate and partner disputes, real estate disputes, landlord and tenant disputes and creditors’ rights litigation. Nickel currently represents several Utah businesses as outside corporate counsel. Nickel earned his B.S. degree in Economics from Brigham Young University, and he graduated cum laude from the Arizona State University College of Law.

In addition to Nickel, the Salt Lake City office will be supported by other Utah admitted attorneys including senior counsel David Clarke who has represented clients of all sizes, including several Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies, individuals and businesses in both the public and private sectors. Clarke's litigation practice includes representing design professionals, builders, and subcontractors in construction defect actions and other types of construction disputes. He routinely defends physicians, assisted living and nursing home clients, hospitals, and other health care providers against a variety of claims, including malpractice and negligence.

Since 2000, Gordon & Rees has dramatically expanded, opening 36 offices nationwide. Our lawyers provide full service representation to public and private companies ranging from Fortune 500 to start-ups. Founded in 1974, Gordon & Rees is recognized among the fastest growing and largest law firms in the country and continues to climb the ranks of both The Am Law 200 and The National Law Journal.
