Gordon & Rees Attorney Regen O’Malley Serves as an Officer and a Delegate to the Connecticut Bar Association

After completing a two-year term as a Delegate serving District 12 (Hartford and surrounding towns), Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani attorney, Regen O’Malley, will continue to serve the Connecticut Bar Association (“CBA”) as one of three elected Delegates to the newly-created District 17 under a redistricting plan effective July 1, 2018. O’Malley will serve in this role through June 30, 2019. The House of Delegates is responsible for all significant decisions or policies of the CBA. The House consists of 64 CBA members including its officers, 47 district, six section and four affinity bar delegates.

O’Malley has also been newly-appointed to serve on the CBA’s Board of Governors (BOG) through June 30, 2019. The BOG, which consists of the CBA officers and only 17 district delegates, is the administrative board of the CBA and has the power and authority to perform all acts that the House of Delegates itself might perform. It deals with budgetary matters and can provide one-year authorization to legislative positions.
