Gordon & Rees Employment Attorney Brittney Dobbins Named to the 2018 National Black Lawyers’ 40 Under 40 List

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani attorney Brittney Dobbins has been named to the 2018 National Black Lawyers’ 40 Under 40 List for her high achievement in the legal field.

Dobbins is an associate in the Southern California office of Gordon & Rees and a member of the firm's Commercial Litigation Practice Group. She focuses her practice on employment litigation and counseling, representing Fortune 500 corporations, startups, and nonprofits in class action, individual litigation, mediation, and arbitration. She practices before state and federal courts and agencies and has represented clients in the areas of labor, employment, soft intellectual property, and business law. She has also provided clients with preventative advice on employee discipline and investigations, employment agreements and policies, and compliance with all aspects of labor and employment law.

In addition to her regular practice, Dobbins devotes a considerable amount of time promoting diversity in the legal profession through her leadership roles within Gordon & Rees’ African American Affinity Group, and within distinguished organizations such as the National Bar Association and the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Foundation.

Dobbins attended DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois where she graduated cum laude and was a Golden Key Honor Society Member, a Pi Sigma Alpha honor society member, and a Deans List student multiple semesters. In 2014, Brittney graduated from California Western School of Law where she was a Dean’s Scholar, founded an organization named Law Students for Disability Rights, and received several awards for things such as legal proficiency, oral advocacy skills, pro bono work, and commitment to ethnic diversity in the legal profession.

Thus, selection for inclusion on this prestigious list is an exclusive honor reserved for those that have demonstrated excellence and have achieved outstanding results in their careers.

The National Black Lawyers organization is one of the few preeminent groups in the United States established to promote the nation's top black attorneys and it is designed to enhance the professional development of its members. The National Black Lawyers provides accreditation to these distinguished attorneys, and also aims to provide essential legal news, information, and continuing education to its members.
