Robyn Leonard Joins Gordon & Rees Maritime Practice Group as Partner in the San Francisco Office

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani welcomes Robyn Leonard as a partner in the firm's San Francisco office. Leonard joins the firm's Maritime law practice group. Leonard was previously with Laughlin, Falbo, Levy & Moresi, LLP.

"We are thrilled to add Robyn to our Maritime practice group," said Adam Sugarman, managing partner of the San Francisco and Oakland offices. "She has vast experience representing clients in matters arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, which is a unique subset of the law. Robyn will be instrumental as we continue to grow our Maritime practice both in the Bay Area and nationally."

Since 2006, Leonard's practice has been focused on defending employers and carriers before the U. S. Department of Labor in connection with claims brought under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the Defense Base Act.

Leonard is admitted to practice in California, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California. She is a member of the Department of Labor Joint Bar Association and Longshore Claims Association.

Leonard earned her law degree from the University of Denver where she was a Kent Whitford Shelton Memorial Scholar. She also studied at the Prague School of Economics in the Czech Republic. Leonard received her undergraduate degree from Ohio State University.
