Gordon & Rees Celebrates 45th Anniversary

Celebrating 50 States in 45 Years

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP is pleased to announce it is celebrating its 45th anniversary.  Founded in San Francisco in October 1974, Gordon & Rees expanded from a local firm to its present count of more than 900 lawyers in 68 offices nationwide.

The firm began in 1974 when Stu Gordon and Don Rees put aside their rival allegiances to Cal and Stanford to create a law firm dedicated to providing outstanding client service, and based upon an internal culture of hard work, responsiveness, and camaraderie.  In 2014, the firm’s name expanded to “Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP” in order to recognize and honor the significant roles played by partners Miles Scully and Roger Mansukhani in contributing to its meteoric growth over the past decade.

“Our anniversary provides us an opportunity to reflect on the firm’s core values and mission, and to reaffirm our commitment to providing superior quality legal services to our clients throughout the country,” said Dion Cominos, Firmwide Managing Partner.

During its 45 years of operation, the firm has strategically expanded across the nation, opening offices in markets critical to its clients.  In April 2019, Gordon & Rees became the first and only law firm to have an office in every state in the union.  Embracing the firm’s rapid growth, Gordon & Rees has also maintained its commitment to diversity and inclusion, remaining among the top 50 firms for diverse and female attorneys.

Today, the firm combines the resources of a full-service national firm with the local knowledge of a regional firm, providing comprehensive litigation and business transactions services to public and private companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations.  Many of the firm’s attorneys also participate in professional organizations and bar associations, often serving in leadership roles.  Attorneys and staff members are also committed to charitable causes and serve on the boards of and represent local and regional not-for-profit organizations.  Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani looks forward to many more years of successful service to its clients.
