Varouj joins the Los Angeles office as a member of the Employment practice group. He has spent his entire career providing comprehensive litigation services and advising clients of best practices to avoid future litigation. He has extensive experience in civil litigation including the defense of employment law matters, claims of professional malpractice and catastrophic personal injury claims. Varouj earned his J.D. from Southwestern Law School and his B.A. from the University of California, Irvine.
Ben joins the Austin office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He is an experienced trial attorney and litigator specializing in the defense of complicated drug, pharmaceutical, and device, (including multi-district litigation (MDL) proceedings), medical malpractice, and commercial cases. His 18 years of practice also include the prosecution, defense, and trial of criminal, construction, employment, and healthcare cases. Ben earned his J.D. from the University of California, Davis, School of Law and his B.A. from California State University, Northridge.
Ricahrd joins the Oakland office as a member of the Environmental/Toxic Tort practice group. He has experience representing and defending clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to family-owned businesses in toxic tort/personal injury litigation. Richard earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
George joins the Seattle office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He has seventeen years of experience representing major financial institutions, other creditors, businesses and individuals on a broad range of complex legal, business, regulatory and strategic issues in all phases of litigation. George earned his J.D. from Cleveland Marshall School of Law and his B.A. from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
Russell joins the Dallas office as a member of the Business Transactions practice group. He is an appellate and complex commercial case litigator and the former general counsel of his family's own startup. He understands the legal issues facing small companies from employment and supply agreements and has managed business conflicts from beginning to end. Russell earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Virginia.
Michael joins the Hartford office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He provides counsel to small businesses on compliance, contract, real estate, employment, mergers and acquisitions, reinsurance, and tax matters. Michael earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
Victoria joins the Charleston office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. She handles a wide variety of litigation matters including insurance defense, employment matters, contract disputes, torts, and other commercial litigation. Victoria earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law and her B.A. from Wofford College.
Jennifer joins the San Francisco office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. She represents clients in matters involving a diverse array of legal issues including contract disputes, employment litigation, design defects, professional liability, product liability and construction disputes. She is experienced in all phases of litigation including pre-litigation dispute resolution, mediation, arbitration and trial. Jennifer earned her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles and her B.A. from Villanova University School of Law.
Amanda joins the San Diego office as a member of the Employment practice group. Her practice generally involves defending claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation and wage and hour disputes, as well as other labor and employment litigation issues. She also provides advice to companies regarding general employment matters. Amanda earned her J.D. from California Western School of Law and her B.S. from Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, University of New Hampshire.
Andrea joins the San Diego office as a member of the Insurance and Life, Health & Disability practice groups. She counsels clients in all aspects of the employment relationship, including hiring, investigations, terminations, discrimination and harassment complaints, wrongful termination, retaliation, constructive discharge, wage and hour claims, drafting employment agreements, and drafting, revising and updating personnel handbooks. Andrea earned her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
Timothy joins the Chicago office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. Prior to his career as an attorney, he worked for Allied Insurance handling personal injury claims from 1994 to 2002. He was recognized as an Associate of Claims in 1996 and his experience built the foundation for his future success in his personal injury practice. He has expanded his practice into many areas of the law and is a full-service, general practice attorney. Timothy earned his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and his B.A. from St. Johns University.
Ivona joins the Seattle office as a member of the Construction practice group. Ivona earned her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Washington.
Michael joins the Chicago office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He represents individual and corporate clients in commercial, employment, insurance, real estate, fraud, and financial regulatory disputes and litigation in state and federal court. Michael earned his J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
Marek joins the San Diego office as a member of the Employment practice group. He represents employers in claims of discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and harassment, as well as claims of failure to accommodate and engage in the interactive process, and wage and hour actions. Marek earned his J.D. from The Ohio State University College of Law and his B.A. from The Ohio State University College of Law.
Joseph joins the New York office as a member of the Tort & Product Liability practice group. Joseph earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and his B.A. from Tufts University.
Brittney joins the Chicago office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. Prior to joining Gordon and Rees, she spent seven years representing corporations, financial institutions and mortgage lenders in complex real estate litigation, which included assisting in the recovery of the largest indemnity Fund Judgment Award in the State of Illinois. Brittney earned her J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Iowa.
Michael joins the Westchester office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He handles all aspects of litigation, including conducting initial investigations, drafting pleadings, preliminary and dispositive motions, court conferences, depositions, oral arguments, settlements, and more. He specializes in several areas of civil litigation including premises liability, motor vehicle, products liability, construction defect, and labor law. Michael earned his J.D. from Florida International University and his B.A. from the University of Florida.
Jonathan joins the San Diego office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He has extensive state and federal court litigation experience in California and nationwide. He has successfully litigated and resolved suits involving contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, unfair business practices, tort, partnership/shareholder disputes, real estate, employment, securities, and intellectual property matters. Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Jonathan was an associate at a full-service law firm in Los Angeles with a practice focus upon business and commercial litigation. Jonathan earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Southern California.
Alex joins the San Diego office as a member of the Environmental/Toxic Tort practice group. Alex earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Jaime joins the Denver office as a member of the Health Care practice group. Jaime earned her J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law and her B.A. from Colorado State University.
Jennifer joins the firm as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. She provides legal services to clients in a variety of practice areas, including estate planning, probate, business creation and management, real estate, and general practice. Jennifer earned her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and her B.A. from Dickinson State University.
Dione joins the Las Vegas office as a member of the Commercial Litigation and Employment practice groups. Her practice focuses primarily in the area of employment litigation including, but not limited to, wrongful termination, defamation, economic interference, breach of contract, wage and hour, and Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and FMLA discrimination and retaliation claims. In addition to her employment practice, she defends clients in litigation arising from business torts, contract claims, and foreclosures. Dione earned her J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law and her B.A. from Centenary College of Louisiana.
