Lippincott was previously with Carr Maloney P.C. in the firm's Washington, D.C. office.

"We are very pleased Kelly has joined Gordon & Rees," said Ronald Giller, managing partner of the Alexandria and Washington, D.C. offices. Kelly will be an enormous asset as we continue to expand these practice areas and service the needs of clients on the east coast and across the country."

Lippincott's clients include insurers, manufacturers, distributors, lawyers, title agents, real estate agents, and insurance agents who rely on her to defend civil lawsuits and develop ways to avoid litigation. Lippincott has first-chaired dozens of jury and bench trials in federal and state courts in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. She also has argued before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Lippincott regularly advises insurers on an array of matters and defends insurers in federal and state courts. Lippincott has litigated disputes involving property coverage, life insurance coverage, and additional-insureds, as well as other areas of coverage.

Lippincott represents a wide variety of manufacturers and distributors in product liability suits in federal and state courts. She has also successfully tried professional liability cases brought against realtors, insurance agents, and attorneys.

Lippincott is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit and the U.S. District Courts of the District of Columbia, District of Maryland, Eastern District of Virginia, and Western District of Virginia. She is rated AV Preeminent®, the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards by the Martindale-Hubbell peer review system and was honored with the Outstanding Advocacy award, presented by Medmarc, at The 32nd Annual Medical Device Seminar.

Lippincott is a member of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys and previously served as chair of the Professional Liability Section. She is also an active member of the Insurance Law Committee of the Defense Research Institute and a frequent speaker on topics of insurance coverage.
