Gordon & Rees Lawyers Receive Award from Washington State Women’s Commission

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani lawyers Nicole Demmon, Sarah Turner, and Amy Taylor, will receive an award from Washington State’s Women’s Commission in a ceremony at the Washington Supreme Court on March 5. They will be honored for their pro bono work drafting a model sexual harassment policy for employers in the state.

“We saw an opportunity to help and engage with the community and we have the resources and expertise to do so. I am fortunate to have supportive and enthusiastic colleagues who share similar values," said Taylor.

They will be recognized at the event alongside retired Chief Justice Mary Fairhurst and other leaders in the Washington legal community. This event is co-sponsored by the Women’s Commission and the Center for Women and Democracy.

Demmon is a partner in the Seattle office. Her practice focuses on employment litigation where she represents employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour matters.

Turner is a partner with the Employment/Labor group and is located in the Seattle and Portland offices. Turner’s practice includes counseling and litigation. Her litigation experience includes defending employers in matters involving claims for wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, privacy, defamation, ADA, leave and benefits, breach of contract, and violation of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements.

Taylor is an associate in the Seattle office of Gordon & Rees, where she maintains a broad litigation practice. She is a member of the Product & General Liability, Employment, and Commercial Litigation practice groups.
