Senior Counsel Matt Peng to Present at ABA Forum on Construction Law Regional Conference

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani San Francisco Senior Counsel Matt Peng will present at the American Bar Association’s (“ABA”) Forum on Construction Law’s Regional Meeting in Los Angeles September 30, 2021. 

Peng will present a session entitled, "Termination, Job Completion, and Contractor Payment," on Thursday, September at 1:30 p.m. Pacific. This session will address legal implications of terminating a project or a party from a project, legal requirements for project completion, and general issues regarding payment. 

On September 30 and October 1, 2021, the ABA Forum on Construction Law will present “Construction Law Essentials” in six cities across the country.  Members of the Forum on Construction Law represent all segments of the construction industry: owners, design professionals, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, suppliers, insurers and sureties. 

Peng is a member of the firm's Construction practice group and represents a variety of companies and professionals in the construction industry. He has represented general contractors, developers, architects, engineers, and specialty subcontractors in state and federal courts as well as in arbitration tribunals. He has also succeeded in dealing with municipalities and the California Department of Transportation.  He has also defended and prosecuted payment disputes, quantity claims, construction-defect matters, and a variety of breach of contract cases, including enforcement of written and oral agreements.  

Peng was recognized by Best Lawyers in America® and received the “Ones to Watch” distinction in construction law for the last two years.
