Senior Counsel Theodore Yarbrough Authors Article on the Evolution of Asbestos Litigation for ABA Newsletter

San Diego Senior Counsel Theodore Yarbrough authored an article entitled "The Evolution of Asbestos Litigation & The Division of Science" for the American Bar Association's Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section Spring 2023 Newsletter.

The article explores the history of asbestos and its origins, disputes in experts' scientific arguments in asbestos litigation, and the ironic finding that talc producers, although their products are the most scientifically in dispute to contain asbestos, often pay more in damages and settlements than other asbestos producers.

The American Bar Association's Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section Newsletter was created to be an informative resource for attorneys in tort and insurance, addressing a variety of topics relevant to their practice.

Mr. Yarbrough is Senior Counsel in the firm's San Diego office. He has represented clients in the toxic tort matters – including asbestos, silica and talcum powder – as well commercial, intellectual property and insurance coverage disputes in litigation that included allegations of negligence, gross negligence, bad faith, unfair competition, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract and tortious interference. He is admitted to practice in California, New Mexico, Texas, and five federal courts.
