Las Vegas attorney Scott Cook recently completed a transaction for a new media company that involved the acquisition of two newspapers for the client from one of the nation's largest multi-state media holding companies. The transaction included a transfer of real estate, intellectual property rights, and the physical assets of the newspapers. A number of ancillary agreements such as a noncompetition agreement, printing agreement, and transition agreement were negotiated as part of the transaction.
