Gordon & Rees partner Tom Packer and senior counsel Mark Ishman recently secured two orders of dismissal with prejudice of legal malpractice complaints against a North Carolina real estate attorney.
The suits alleged improper handling of real estate transactions which lead to a dispute over titles to two properties. Packer and Ishman successfully convinced the court that both suits were brought after the expiration of North Carolina’s four year statute of repose, leading to their dismissal.
