Paralegal/Legal Nurse Consultant

Ideal candidate must have a general background in personal injury/medical malpractice experience. 

This is a full time position and there may be flexible options for successful candidates, including hybrid opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Personal injury/medical malpractice experience is required
  • Experience on the defense side with billing experience is preferred
  • Significant knowledge of court rules regarding the civil discovery process is preferred
  • Independently preparing pleadings, written discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, non-party requests, open records requests, and other discovery tools (Georgia federal and state courts)
  • Managing and organizing electronic files, reviewing documents, preparing timelines/medical chronologies, researching/investigation for case management, preparation of trial exhibits and binders, as well as general trial support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; as well as close attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills (Win10, Microsoft Office applications, etc.)
  • Candidates should be comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced, team-structured setting.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000

Legal Secretary (2 years)

Ideal candidate should have two or more years of experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Computer skills, particularly experience with Excel, Microsoft Office, Filesite, and iManage.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; as well as close attention to detail. 
  • Candidates should also be comfortable multi-tasking in a team-structured setting.
  • Work independently on pleadings, discovery and motion preparation, document review, case management research and trial support.
  • Oversee the entry, billing and client reports.
  • Experience with Chrome River, Intapp and LBMS is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Powerpoint, CompuLaw and trial presentation software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of court rules, calendaring, efiling and filing procedures is a plus.
