Our Firm

Overview

Gordon & Rees was founded in San Francisco in 1974 by Stuart Gordon and Donald Rees, both of whom maintain practices and are active in the life of the firm. Gordon & Rees was founded on the two key principles of dedication to clients and dedication to employees.  Stu and Don created a firm with a unique culture, proven by the fact that many of the firm's lawyers and employees have not worked anywhere else. In 2014, the name of the firm was expanded to Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, adding Miles Scully and Roger Mansukhani in order to recognize their significant roles in the firm’s rapid growth over the past decade.

In just over 40 years, Gordon & Rees has grown from a small defense firm to a national litigation and business transactions firm with more than 700 lawyers in 38 offices throughout the United States, including lawyers admitted in Canada, Mexico, and Hong Kong.
