Gordon & Rees Denver Attorney Aubrey L. Elenis Appointed to Director of DORA’s Division of Civil Rights

Gordon & Rees Denver associate Aubrey L. Elenis was recently appointed to the Director of Colorado's Civil Rights Division (CCRD) by Joe Neguse, executive director of the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA). Elenis's new role will begin June 27, 2016. The CCRD is a division of DORA.

The CCRD is charged with enforcing the State of Colorado’s anti-discrimination laws in the areas of employment, housing and public accommodations. During her time at the CCRD, she conducted numerous investigations into high-profile allegations of housing and employment discrimination, while also supervising and facilitating mediations and conciliations for the Division and providing Equal Employment training sessions throughout the State.

Ms. Elenis is a member of Gordon & Rees's employment practice group. She counsels and defends clients against claims of employment discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, harassment, breach of contract, and other labor and employment disputes.
