Gordon & Rees Continues to Ascend the Ranks of the Top Law Firms for Women

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani continues to climb the ranks of the top firms in the nation for women attorneys, according to Law360’s 2022 Glass Ceiling Report: Women in Law. Gordon & Rees ranked among the top 15 law firms with 601+ lawyers, at No. 11. The firm was previously No. 13 per the 2021 Glass Ceiling Report.

Law360's Glass Ceiling Report evaluates the representation of female attorneys across the legal industry, specifically how law firms of a similar size compare on two measures: the percentage of female attorneys at the firm and the percentage of female equity partners.

"Gordon & Rees is committed to gender equality and emphasizes support for our women attorneys as they strive to reach their highest potential within the firm," said Debra Ellwood Meppen, Partner and Chair of the firm’s Women's Initiative. "We continue to work passionately towards increasing our percentage of female attorneys to partnership, equity partnership, and leadership positions throughout the firm.”

The Law360 ranking reflects the firm's ongoing committment to facilitate the advancement of women at Gordon & Rees and advance the opportunities for women in the legal profession overall.  Throughout the firm, a wide range of best practice programs focus on networking activities, speaking engagements, business education, and mentoring to develop leadership competencies, management skills, and business generating abilities critical to the professional development of women lawyers, indeed all lawyers, which is vital to the success of the firm. Emphasizing these priorities ensures that women are equipped with the knowledge, experience, and skills required to take advantage of more and better opportunities.

The success of the firm's Women’s Initiative enables Gordon & Rees to achieve an important goal of attracting and retaining women lawyers and helping them exceed their professional goals.

Earlier this year, National Law Journal ranked Gordon & Rees among the Top 30 in the Women in Law Scorecard

Women represent at least 40% of Gordon & Rees attorneys, 30% of partners, and 50% of associates; surpassing national averages in the field.
