Laura A. Walker Joins Gordon & Rees as Partner in Employment Law Practice Group

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, the nation's first and only law firm with offices in all 50 states, welcomes Laura A. Walker as a Partner in the firm's San Diego office. She joins the Employment Law practice group.

Ms. Walker has extensive experience defending employers in labor and employment matters, including defeating sexual harassment, disability discrimination, and whistleblower retaliation actions via summary judgment. She also has wage and hour class action and PAGA litigation experience. 

In addition, she has worked with her clients to overhaul human resources practices, including complete revision and adoption of personnel rules and employee handbooks, the development of numerous employee policies, and best practices to reduce employee claims. Ms. Walker has also counseled employers regarding COVID-19, ADA compliance and accommodation, FMLA/CFRA, Title VII, Title IX, and FEHA issues, wage & hour compliance, paperless HR, employee discipline, termination, employee benefits, pension rights, and other aspects of labor and employment law.

She is admitted to practice in California, Florida, the U.S. District Court, Southern, Eastern and Central Districts of California. 

She received her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law, and her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
