Philadelphia Partner Alexander Nemiroff to Present on Proposed FTC Non-Compete Regulations for ALM Conference

Philadelphia Partner Alexander Nemiroff will present for a panel session entitled “Unpacking the Upcoming FTC Non-Compete Proposal: Managing Employee Rights and Business Interests” during ALM’s General Counsel Conference East in New York City on October 2, 2023. 

This program will discuss the Federal Trade Commission’s ("FTC") proposed regulations on non-compete agreements, which have created challenges for legal departments, especially in regard to the protection of trade secrets and potential disruptions to market competition. Mr. Nemiroff will explore the nuances of non-compete agreements and consider alternative approaches to better balance employee rights and business interests. 

Mr. Nemiroff has over 20 years of experience in all areas of labor and employment law. He litigates cases before federal and state courts and administrative agencies, including employment discrimination, workplace technology law, wrongful discharge, wage and hour law, and other matters. He has extensive experience in cases involving non-compete issues, trade secrets, tortious interference, and related claims throughout the country.  Mr. Nemiroff has represented clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, and state administrative agencies.

The General Counsel Conference East, hosted by business media company ALM, offers sessions on topics such as strategic leadership, technology and cybersecurity risks, global supply chain issues, emerging data privacy laws, and regulatory changes, providing general counsel with practical takeaways amid increasing challenges and responsibilities.
