Des Moines Co-Managing Partner Tom Joensen Appointed Member of Iowa State Committee for American College of Trial Lawyers

Des Moines Co-Managing Partner Tom Joensen was recently appointed a Member of the Iowa State Committee for the 2022-2023 American College of Trial Lawyers after being inducted as a Fellow in 2021.

The American College of Trial Lawyers is an invitation-only fellowship of exceptional trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds from the United States and Canada. The College thoroughly investigates each nominee for admission and selects only those who have demonstrated the very highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, integrity, professionalism, and collegiality.

There are 55 state sections in the American College of Trial Lawyers, representing every state in the United States, with some populous states divided into two sections, and including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Each section has a State Committee, whose members are appointed from among the section. State Committees are the backbone of the College and perform important work that includes the nomination of candidates for Fellowship and the organization of local outreach activities.

Mr. Joensen is Co-Managing Partner of the firm's Des Moines office. While he began his career in medical and legal malpractice, he expanded his experience into litigation involving product liability, employment, all types of professional negligence, board actions, D&O, agricultural, business, debtor-creditor, estate and finance, automobile, and discrimination.
